A muntjac deer can be confined both inside and out. It is preferred that a deer should receive fresh air everyday, but if that's not possible, he can stay inside too! From my research, Muntjacs can jump pretty darn high! It is suggested that you keep as little furniture in your room as possible. Still, I haven't heard of any case where a Muntjac has jumped onto a couch or knocked down a lamp. If you have a Muntjac and just don't want him outside, remember that he can be litter trained just like a cat! I'm not sure how to do this yet. If you have a properly trained deer, which means he was bought by you when he was little and hand-fed, then your muntjac should not have a need for confinement. In other words, he could be like a dog. You leave him around the house. Maybe you don't want him to go upstairs; then teach him that when he's little! You could let him sleep in the basement if you want! So, basically, Muntjacs can be kept indoor! All muntjacs are both outdoor and indoor! Both are fine.

That's right. Wink

As for litter box training, the idea is while they are on the bottle, you are also litter box training them! A bother deer would gently lick their bum while they are nursing to encourage them to go. As you bottle feed them, you would have them stand at the litter box and wipe their bum with a wet warm cloth as they feed to encourage them to go...which would be in the box of course! In time, the deer should associate the box with going and make a natural habit of it.

That's the best way I know to do it, ive not done it by experience but simply from research. Hope this helps!
